The outer shell panels are crafted from FSC-certified Moso bamboo, harvested at peak maturity from responsibly managed forests in Southeast Asia, then kiln-dried and lacquer-sealed to resist moisture, warping, and discoloration in humid environments. The top ring, foot pedal, and internal frame are constructed from brushed 304 stainless steel, providing structural integrity and a refined contrast against the golden bamboo grain. The step mechanism uses a stainless steel linkage rod that transfers foot pressure to the lid with zero wobble, even after years of repeated use. Inside, a cylindrical stainless steel liner is removable for thorough washing and prevents odors from being absorbed by the bamboo outer casing. The flat lid surface doubles as a small surface for placing items temporarily, supported by concealed internal magnets that hold the lid at exactly 90 degrees when fully open. Each NatureLine V bin is individually inspected for bamboo grain consistency and joint quality before leaving the Chainstory production facility.
