The Chainstory FreshGuard XI is engineered specifically for kitchen environments that generate high volumes of organic waste, where odor control is the primary performance requirement above all others. The FreshGuard’s proprietary AirBlock lid technology uses a three-layer sealing system: an outer stainless steel lid, an inner polymer gasket ring, and a charcoal filter pad mounted on the underside of the lid that continuously adsorbs sulfur compounds, ammonia, and volatile fatty acids even when the bin is closed. The 35-liter HDPE inner bucket is treated with a BioCide antimicrobial surface coating that reduces the bacterial colony count on interior surfaces by up to 99.6% compared to untreated plastic, significantly reducing the speed at which organic waste begins to decompose and produce odor. The foot pedal is integrated into a raised base platform that elevates the bin 3 cm off the floor, improving air circulation beneath the bin and preventing mold growth on flooring. Replacement charcoal filter pads are available in packs of 6 and require changing every three months under normal kitchen use. The stainless steel exterior is finished with a soft satin brush pattern that conceals fingerprints without the need for special cleaning products.
