The Chainstory UrbanPillar XXI is a premium freestanding public waste collection unit designed for urban landscaping projects, luxury hotel forecourts, airport terminals, and high-traffic commercial precincts where public waste infrastructure must match the quality of the surrounding architecture. The 1.2-meter tall cylindrical pillar is fabricated from 3 mm powder-coated Corten-style weathering steel, providing a rich, warm surface character that deepens with exposure to the outdoor environment while maintaining a stable protective oxide layer. A lockable rear service door opens with a Chainstory keyed waste management key, allowing cleaning staff to remove and replace the 120-liter inner liner in under 60 seconds without tools. The rain-deflecting angled top cap channels water away from the opening aperture and is designed to prevent birds from perching and depositing waste on the unit. The circular opening aperture is 22 cm in diameter — large enough for all standard waste items but too narrow for theft or vandalism insertion of large objects.
